2 cups dark corn syrup 1/3 cup dark brown sugar 1/2 cup water 4 teaspoons corn starch 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 1-1/2 cups chopped nuts Directions: In a sauce pan, mix well corn syrup, sugar, water, and starch. Bring to boil for 1 minute. Stir in vanilla extract and nuts.

Tartar Sauce
2 cups mayonnaise 2 tablespoons dill (or sweet) pickle, chopped 2 tablespoons grated onion dash salt and pepper Directions: Mix and refrigerate. (Granny’s Note: Keeps several weeks in the refrigerator.)
Spinach Dip
10 oz package frozen chopped spinach, squeezed dry 16 oz container sour cream 1 cup mayonnaise 1 package Knorr Vegetable recipe mix Optional: 8 oz can water chestnuts, drained and chopped Optional: 3 green onions, chopped Directions: Combine all ingredients; chill about 2 hours. (Pretty sure this a Knorr brand recipe.)
Salmon Party Spread
8 oz cream cheese 16 oz can salmon, drained and flaked 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 tablespoon grated onion 1/4 teaspoon liquid smoke 1/4 teaspoon salt Parsley Directions: Mix all ingredients except parsley. Refrigerate 8 hours (no longer than 4 days). Sprinkle with parsley.
Hot Dog Chili
3 lbs ground beef 1-1/2 lbs ground sausage 1 cup dried minced onion (or 1 large fresh) 3-3/4 cups ketchup 3-3/4 cups water 2 tablespoons chili powder Directions: Brown beef and sausage; drain. White Barbecue Sauce
For Chicken or Pork (Granny’s Note: Very good!) 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1 teaspoon yellow mustard 1-1/2 tablespoons vinegar 1/2 cup catsup 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce Directions: Mix all ingredients. Bring to a boil. Pour over chicken or pork chops. Bake in 350 F oven until tender.
