No-Knead Bread

  • 3 cups all-purpose or bread flour plus extra
  • 1/4 teaspoon yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1-1/2 cups very hot water

Directions:

  1. Add flour, yeast, and salt to large mixing bowl; whisk together.
  2. Add water, and fold mixture together with spatula.
  3. Cover bowl tightly with plastic wrap. Let sit on counter top 3 to 5 hours.
  4. Uncover and transfer dough to a well-floured surface. Sprinkle flour over dough.
  5. Fold dough with pastry scraper into a round shape.
  6. Press parchment paper into a large mixing bowl. Place dough on parchment paper, and cover with towel. Let sit for 30 to 35 minutes.
  7. Place Dutch oven in oven, and preheat oven to 450 deg.
  8. Remove Dutch oven, and transfer the parchment paper and dough to Dutch oven. Cover and return to oven.
  9. Bake 30 minutes. If crispier crust desired, return Dutch oven and bread to oven uncovered.
