Chicken Log

  • 16 oz cream cheese
  • 4 tablespoons steak sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1-1/2 cups ground cooked chicken (or pulled chicken)
  • 1/3 cup ground celery
  • 1/8 cup and 1/8 cup fresh parsley, separated
  • 1/4 cup toasted slivered almonds


  1. Mix cream cheese, steak sauce, curry powder, chicken, celery, and 1/8 cup fresh parsley. Form into a 9 inch log, wrap in plastic, and chill. (Tim the Younger: A neat trick I’ve seen for this is to put the mixture into plastic wrap, grab the excess wrap at the ends, and use the counter top to spin the center until it is all firmly pressed together.)
  2. Mix 1/8 cup parsley and almonds. Lightly press onto surface of log.
  3. Serve with crackers.
