Hot Lemon Sauce

(Granny’s Note: For pound cake, bread pudding, or ginger bread.)

  • 1/4 cup Lemon Pie Filling Mix or
    • 1/8 cup Country Time Lemonade Mix
    • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
    • Slight less than 1 tablespoon sugar
    • Dash of salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Directions:

  1. Combine Filling mix (or Lemonade mix, cornstarch, sugar, and salt) and water in small saucepan.
  2. Bring to boil, stirring constantly until thickened.
  3. Stir in butter.
  4. Serve warm.
