Green Beans with Bacon and Onions

  • 4 (14.5 oz) cans green beans
  • 6 to 7 strips regular-cut bacon (or 4 to 5 strips thick-cut)
  • 1-1/2 medium onions, chopped (about 3/8-inch squares)
  • 4 chicken bullion cubes
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon black pepper

Directions:

  1. Slice bacon into small strips (about 1/4-inch across)
  2. Turn Instant Pot to saute. Add bacon in a single layer. Fry until slightly crispy, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add onions and bullion, and cook until onions are lightly caramelized and bullion cubes are dissolved, stirring frequently. (If the glaze on the bottom starts to burn, add a tablespoon or two of water to the pot as needed.)
  4. Add green beans. Stir until evenly mixed. Set to high pressure, and cook for 45 minutes (after pressurized).
  5. Stir, and serve.
