- 1-1/2 cups red wine vinegar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1-1/3 cups canola oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- In a sauce pan, bring vinegar and sugar to boil. Cool.
- Add oil, salt, and pepper.

(Tim the Younger’s Note: It would seem that this recipe, or at least an extension of it, is genetic. On my own, I came up with a recipe that, while it uses store-bought red wine vinaigrette, is meant for tomatoes, cucumber, and onions.)
