French Salad Dressing

  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 medium onion, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch


  1. Put all ingredients in blender; blend well.
  2. Pour into sauce pan, and bring to boil. Simmer a few minutes to thicken.

(Granny’s Note: Tastes like Catalina dressing.)
