Brownie Mix

  • 6 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 4 teaspoons salt
  • 8 cups sugar
  • 8 oz (1-1/2 cups) cocoa powder
  • 2 cups vegetable shortening

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and cocoa powder.
  2. Add shortening; mix well.
  3. Store in airtight container. Use within 10 to 12 weeks.

(Granny’s Note: I store in a widemouthed gallon jar.)
