Texas Sheet Cake

  • 4 cups Brownie Mix
  • 1/2 cup and 1/2 cup butter, separated
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 lb powdered sugar
  • 1 cup nuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract


  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Mix brownie mix, 1/2 cup butter, water, sour cream, eggs, and baking. Pour into greased 10×15-inch pan.
  3. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
  4. In a small sauce pan over medium-high burner, heat evaporated milk, 1/2 cup butter, and cocoa powder while stirring constantly. Remove from heat as soon once boil is reached.
  5. Put powdered sugar in mixing bowl. Pour milk mixture over sugar and mix. Stir in nuts and vanilla.
  6. Pour over cake shortly after removing from oven.
