Spaghetti with Meat Sauce

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cups tomatoes, cooked or canned
  • 6 oz can tomato paste
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 18 oz pkg of spaghetti
  • Grated cheese (as desired)


  1. Brown ground beef in frying pan (or skillet). Drain.
  2. Add onion and green bell pepper, and cook for a few minutes (3-5 minutes).
  3. Add remaining ingredients (except for spaghetti and cheese).
  4. Cover and simmer for 50 minutes or until sauce is of desired consistency.
  5. Cook spaghetti according to directions on package. Drain.
  6. Serve spaghetti with meat sauce and cheese.
