Apple Crisp

  • 6 medium (4 cups) baking apples, pared and sliced or 1 can sliced apples or apple pie filling
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour (all-purpose or self-rising)
  • 1/2 oats
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/3 cup butter, room temperature


  1. Preheat oven to 375 F.
  2. Place apples in oiled or greased 8×8-inch or 10×6-inch baking dish.
  3. Blend remaining ingredients until mixed well.
  4. Mixture will be crumbly; spread over apples.
  5. Bake 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown.
