Stuffed Pizza

  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 3-1/3 cups BISQUICK
  • 3/4 cup cold water
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 15.5 oz jar pizza sauce (or Pizza Sauce)
  • Your favorite pizza toppings

Directions:

  1. Heat oven to 450 F.
  2. Grease rectangular baking dish, 12×7.5×2-inch. [Granny’s note: or 9×9-inch dish]
  3. Brown sausage and ground beef; drain and set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, mix together BISQUICK and water until dough forms.
  5. Divide dough into two portions, one slightly larger for bottom.
  6. On a surface dusted with BISQUICK, roll larger portion of dough into 16×12-inch rectangle. (Not stated, but the dimensions would probably be different if using the 9×9-inch dish.)
  7. Place in dish. Press down on bottom and up sides of dish.
  8. Sprinkle with 1 cup of the cheese.
  9. Cover with 3/4 cup of the pizza sauce.
  10. Add meat mixture and top with your favorite pizza toppings.
  11. Roll out rest of dough to 12×7-inch rectangle. (Again, dimensions different with 9×9-inch dish.)
  12. Place on cheese; roll sides of bottom crust over top crust and press together to seal. Make small slits in top crust to let out steam.
  13. Spread top crust with remaining pizza sauce and remaining cheese.
  14. Bake until crust is golden, 20 to 25 minutes. Let stand 8 to 10 minutes.

(This appears to be a recipe from Bisquick considering the product placement, but nothing concrete is given.)
