- 1/2 lb Italian sausage
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 3-1/3 cups BISQUICK
- 3/4 cup cold water
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 15.5 oz jar pizza sauce (or Pizza Sauce)
- Your favorite pizza toppings
Directions:
- Heat oven to 450 F.
- Grease rectangular baking dish, 12×7.5×2-inch. [Granny’s note: or 9×9-inch dish]
- Brown sausage and ground beef; drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together BISQUICK and water until dough forms.
- Divide dough into two portions, one slightly larger for bottom.
- On a surface dusted with BISQUICK, roll larger portion of dough into 16×12-inch rectangle. (Not stated, but the dimensions would probably be different if using the 9×9-inch dish.)
- Place in dish. Press down on bottom and up sides of dish.
- Sprinkle with 1 cup of the cheese.
- Cover with 3/4 cup of the pizza sauce.
- Add meat mixture and top with your favorite pizza toppings.
- Roll out rest of dough to 12×7-inch rectangle. (Again, dimensions different with 9×9-inch dish.)
- Place on cheese; roll sides of bottom crust over top crust and press together to seal. Make small slits in top crust to let out steam.
- Spread top crust with remaining pizza sauce and remaining cheese.
- Bake until crust is golden, 20 to 25 minutes. Let stand 8 to 10 minutes.
(This appears to be a recipe from Bisquick considering the product placement, but nothing concrete is given.)
