Southwest Stew

  • 2 lbs ground sirloin
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 to 3 (qty) 15 oz cans pinto beans
  • 17 oz can whole kernel corn (do not drain)
  • 8 oz picante sauce
  • 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions:

  1. Brown sirloin and onions; drain.
  2. Put into large pot with remaining ingredients.
  3. Heat to boil.
  4. Optional: Water can be added to if too thick. Can be served with sour cream and/or grated cheese.
