- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk or heavy cream
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Dash pepper
- In a sauce pan, stir butter and milk constantly over medium heat until butter is melted and starts to bubble.
- Reduce heat to low, stir in cheese, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer 6 minutes, stirring frequently, until slightly thick.
- Serve over cooked fettucine.
